Next Deadline Funds Needed!
Well members, it is that time of the year, we need to call for some cash to pay the company that is reserving our house this year. Jody is asking that each member please get him $50.00 each so he can take care of it. We need to do this asap so we can have this portion of the trip completed.
Thanks Guys and have a great Easter. I won't be in for it, but have a great weekend.

Fund Raiser Great Success!
The fund raiser was a great success, and we got to meet a new member of the club. Ken is a friend of Joe's and they work together. He came down on Saturday, and got right into the swing of things as pictured here. We did real well and raised around $200.00 which will come in handy for boat fuel. The team really performed like a well oiled machine, we were cleaned up on Friday before 5:00! Jody had all the meat mixed on Thursday, and with Ken pitching in on Saturday we had plenty of help. I also would like to thank Nick and Joey for pitching in. We had a lot of fun, but hey we always do. One final note, Joe sure can stuff a Keilbasa, almost ever single one weighed exactly 1lb after smoking. GOOD JOB MEMBERS!

Finger Lake Fishing Presentation
Hey everyone,
Jody Teddy(3) and I attended a fishing presentation for finger lake fishing at Cabelas on Sunday. It was very interesting and the two Charter Captains who gave the presentation geared it to the folks with the smaller boats 12-16 feet. The explained the best way to cover as much water as possible with a small craft. There primary suggestion was the use of planer boards. Planer boards are different than dipsy divers, in that the carry the bait away from the boat anywhere from 75 to 150 feet away from the boat. This allows fisherman to cover more water and have less tangles than just fishing from the back of the boat.
The presenter also showed us a way to cover the whole water column by using a lead or steel line pole and equipping it with three way swivels that travel through the eyes of the pole. I have attached a diagram to give you a better idea of how its done. A very heavy weight is used to bounce off the bottom, and this is allows the fisherman to feel the bottom as the boat moves.
The Captains who gave the presentation also mentioned to us that surface temperature is very important, and the Trout and Salmon will look for the warmest water during the spring, but will of course migrate down in the summer. He pointed out that in some cases the lake may be showing 39 degrees, and you may come upon an area of the lake which might be 41 degrees, and the fish will all be hanging in these areas.
It was a nice presentation, and the men who gave it were very down to earth, it was interesting to hear their techniques and approaches to fishing the finger lakes. So please take some time and investigate planer boards, there are even plans on line to build your own! It may be worth while looking into.

Keilbasa Fund Raiser
Hey Fellow TCFers we are going to make some Keilbasa for an Easter Fund Raiser Sale. It is a little short notice, but I think we will do pretty good. We need to have our orders into Jody in the next few days so that he can order the meat. We will making the Keilbasa during the weekend of March 14th. If you can attend and help it would be greatly appreciated.
Hey don't forget if you want to ask something on the blog, just leave a comment after a post, and I can respond. It would help me out sometimes I can't remember every detail, and some help would be appreciated in this area.
Thanks
