Hi All,
We had a great trip this year. The fishing was fantastic, nobody got skunked, and as a group we weighed over 100lbs of fish this year. Boats ran great, no major problems, food, was good as always, and we stayed in a great hotel, on the Seaway in Clayton this year.
The weather was as usual, up and down, but we had a majority of good days. We only really had one bad day of wind, and another with rain, The best fishing seemed to be in the evening, but some trout were taken during the day.
It would appear that the trout of the 31 mile lac, really love the flat fish lure, weather it be orange, black, chartreuse or any other color, they hammered them. I wonder if it is the noise and vibration that attracts them.
We also had a few good games of corn hole on the porch, and below the porch on the rain day. We of course also played pool in the basement, and the competition as usual was fierce.
We had a great trip, and thank you to everyone who made it possible, thanks Joe for getting our trailers safe and functional, (we missed your company). Thanks Jody for doing all the leg work for the food, and the hotel, as well as the house. Thanks also to everyone in their own way who contributes to this trip. It as always was awesome.
John put together a video, and here it is.
