2018 Trip Wrapup

Hi Guys,

Just wanted to let you know that we had a great trip this year.  The weather cooperated, and the flying insects did not bother us till the very last evening.  I just wanted to let everyone know that I had a very relaxing vacation.

Fishing was good for everyone else, I being the only one who got skunked, but you know what, I don't care.  We got to see all most the entire lake this year, and its pretty impressive.  There are so many different areas available to catch trout and the scenery in parts of the lake are incredible.

I would like to thank Jody for getting everything together for the trip, with the house and the shopping and planning.   Thanks for making most of the meals, and thank your Mom for the Piggies and Potato salad.  Vince made great chili, and Ted also made the meatloaf and Lasagna.  Carl also pitched in with Breakfast, and made us one hell of an omelette.  John thanks for the awesome hooded sweatshirts, wore mine everyday, and thanks for keeping score on the big board for the fishing trophies.

The lure contest was fun, the lures did not produce fish, but it was fun to make them, and try them out.  Maybe next year the results will be better.

We had very little mechanical issues, outside of the truck from hell, (its definitely the clutch fan) and a broken fuel connector for the 9.9.  These were minor in nature and didn't interfere with our fishing.  Vince and John gave it hell as always, and of course were the most successful in bringing trout to the boat.  (Next year I'm buying a lot of flatfish lures that's for sure)

We missed the guys that were not able to come this year, and we look forward to seeing them next year.  We decided to return to the Lac 31 Mile next year, and I cannot wait.  Thank you all for the great trip, and the great company, you are some of the best guys I know.
