Here is a link to the Temagami Lake Association website. This link will bring up recent pictures of the lake. http://tla-temagami.org/spring-2014/ It still looks like the middle of January up there! Jody spoke with Mike this week via email and he confirmed that there is currently 40 inches of ice still on the lake!
The good news is we have time. 45 days to go so we need about an inch to melt each day. The high temperatures over the next 5 days are as follows; 43, 36, 41, 46, and 43. uh oh.
Watch out for that ice berg in front of bear island! This years gimmick lake trout lure is 2 BB's and a minnow. Anyone interested in purchasing 2 downriggers please contact Vince Pagnotti.

Top water will be the way to fish this year. The Lake Trout will be so sick of being in freezing cold water that they will be in floating lounge chairs, having drinks with umbrellas waiting for a minnow to drop in their lap.
