Hi Guys,
This post is not fishing related. but I thought I would post anyway. I have been working pretty hard on the outside of the TCF Media Center, and have finally finished all of the outside painting I will be able to get done this year.
Well Mary and I decided that it was time to take a break and take a weekend for ourselves. I had been talking to one of my best friends from college recently and he told me that his band was playing at the Capitol Theater in Bloomsburg. We headed up and had a great time. He is in a band called the Bed Bugs. They have 3 members who have Doctorates! They play a very upbeat show. They are real tight and have a great sound.
We spent the night in Frackville, and traveled to Jim Thorpe for a train ride, and to just visit the tons of shops and pubs that are there. The Leigh Valley Gorge, is incredible, and a very nice place to experience. There is incredible history there, and the views are breath taking.
Well that's it for now, just thought I would do an update, and if you ever need a getaway, don't look to far, we have a lot of great thing to do in our own back yard.

Hi John,
The train ride is very nice, Brooks and Bellamy will love it. You go by a turn table, a very high bridge over the Leigh river and back into the gorge. There is an abandoned tunnel that you get to see, and just spectacular scenery.
Santa will be on the train in December, they are there every weekend except one Saturday, so you need to check it out.
It is just up the turnpike after the tunnel, so its pretty close and it is a good time.
