Day 2

Ohh what day. Well I guess that you can say this was our first real day of "fishing." The day started off normal as any other I suppose. Breakfast on the lanai (spelling?), followed by 40 minutes of boat prep, followed by 40 minutes of boat repair. Like I said normal. Boat launch went smooth as silk. Well TCF silk, someone ask Carl how to remove the transom saver or how to work the trim. Anyway after launch it was all down hill from there. Ted and I were elected to pilot the boats back to the dock while Jody and the boys were to bait up and drive the trucks back to base. Foolishly trusting our GPS Ted and I motored full throttle wind in our hair and not a care in the world. After an hour or so we reached the end of the lake. After some locals confirmed that they had no idea where we were going we started to get worried. I think it was at the point were a local woman asked' "are you sure your on the right lake" that Ted remembered he hadn't used the GPS since Maine. Glancing down to my horror I noticed that the GPS had requested that we get on the road and drive 216 miles. Ohh Sh*# I quipped. Followed by Teds iteration that the GPS was taking us to Maine. After much distress and calculation we decided that we would manually put in the address. That was a great idea, until we realized that the #2 on the GPS doesn't work. Lets just say that GPS may never know how close it came to being a permanent fixture on the bottom of lake sac of whatever, which by the way is murky depth of about 10'. Anyway after much ado we finally made it the 8 miles back to our dock by way of our blackberry. After a quick lunch we were fishing to bad it was 5pm. But all was not lost I managed to win the fishing contest for pole #1. It was an 8lb carp that sealed the deal. To bad they're the world's most worthless fish. We finished off the night by completing the members push poll... I mean survey. I guess it was informative if not a bit predictable. Well although the fishing is slow at least we are filling in the time by ripping up the lake. So until tomorrow this is Vince signing off. You stay classy Scranton. By the way tune in Wed for my on the water live webcast via sprint mobile broad band. (shameless plug).
