The Keuka Maid

This a photo of the Keuka Maid, It use to be a boat that could hold up to 500 people, and could be chartered for Weddings, Meetings, Dinner Cruises etc. It has fallen on hard times though. The lake association had a requirement that all boats on the lake needed to be inspected.

This entailed taking a boat out of the water and physically inspecting the hull. The Maid was built on the lake, and was to big to be lifted, so she never got inspected, and consequently could not operate in open water. It wasn't to long after that it began to take on water during a wedding party while tied up a dock. Maybe the inspectors saved a lot of lives.
