A VERY RELAXING VACATION

Gentlemen,

Speaking for all of the members, I think we can all agree that we had one of the most relaxed weeks we ever experienced in Canada. I myself think that the week was more than I could have ever imagined. The house we stayed in was perfect, roomy, well lit, and very spacious. It was wonderful to have all of the amenities of home and in some cases more. The mere fact that we were not on top of each other, and that we could all enjoy the space the house offered was awesome.

I really enjoyed the lake and its immensity it certainly inspired members to be creative in searching for the laker runs. It was fun and exciting to see the different scenery, the incredible cabins and boat houses and rock formations. The lake and its surroundings had a lot of wild life that we haven’t seen in years. There were tons of minnows (bait balls), which indicated that there was a readily available amount of feed for the predator fish. This fact was borne out by the girth of the fish we were catching. It was also very enjoyable to be able to fish for perch and pike in the shallows.

I really enjoyed seeing the deer running around the cabin and splashing each other in the lake. The beaver that swam right past our boat without slapping his tail and diving was incredible. We also came upon a bald eagle flying in all his glory and his immense size was daunting. The seagulls, loons, and ducks were also numerous and very nice to watch. Of course there were your giant Canadian Spiders, which live everywhere, but the camouflaged frog that was living underneath our porch was very different looking.

I would like to personally thank every member of our group for making the trip very memorable. Everyone pitched in and did what ever they could to get things done in the cabin. If you walked into any one of our bathrooms, you would never know that there were nine guys living there. Thanks to the young bucks, we were able to unload and reload the trucks in no time at all. I really enjoyed being around the young folks again. We had quite a few years without them, and I am always recharged by the dreams and desires of our younger members.

We did something very different, and what did we find, that there is a whole lot of exciting things we can experience as a group, and there is no other group of guys that I would like to explore Canada, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania or wherever. So Gentlemen I thank each and everyone for a great trip, and Jody thank you for taking care of all the details.

GREAT TRIP
