SOPA -- What is that? Well you won't hear about it on the News, or read about it in newspapers. How will it affect us? Well the fact of the matter is, that it is a law that is currently in the House and Senate. It goes under the guise of Copyright Protection, that in itself sounds good, until you start digging into it.

If the law passes, it would prohibit me from linking to other websites, making it very difficult to use the web as a tool. It would pretty much render google, and wickipedia useless, but it would protect the giant corps once again by protecting their rights for Movies, Music, Books etc.

I am not a proponent of stealing, and I think there are better ways to deal with those problems, but to totally slash how the internet works is ludicrous. I try not to get political on this web site, but this bill would affect everyone of us. Not just on this website, but in your day to day web activities. It will make it very difficult for you to find information that aid you in your jobs, your daily living, and your ability to communicate.

Just my two cents, but I have written to my representatives, I encourage you to do the same.

Leaving for London!

Well today Teddy (3) is off to study in the city of London UK. He will be gone until the middle of August. He is going to be taking liberal art classes while he is there. In May he will travel to Germany to study documentary film making for four weeks. He returns to London to intern with NBC for the Summer Olympics. He is going to be one busy guy.

Mary and I will miss him, but it is an opportunity of a lifetime, and you got to make every moment count. I know he will do well, and come back with a wealth of knowledge and experience. Have a great time Ted, and knock it out of the park!!!!

It is with great pride that I can inform you that today on the 8th day of December, 2011, Vince Pagnotti Officially defended his doctoral thesis! Yes.. He is officially Dr. Vince Pagnotti. The TCF is moving up the academic ladder! Thanks for the new street cred Vince!

Its amazing that only 10 short years ago he started out studying the long term chemical effects of Alcohol on a fishing club. And here we are. Hopefully he can still get the grant money to come to Temagami in 2012!

Aside from the joking. Vince.. Congratulations. I'm sure I can speak for all members of theTCF in saying we are all proud of you! I guess you are going to get rid of "Vice Pres of the TCF" in your signature now and replace that with "Dr".

Well we have started. Joe has taught Noel the dribble method for feeding the machine, you will have to ask him about that. But honestly Joe, if you ever retire and want to be a job coach, I know that your services could be used.

Thanks to Tim who also came down and helped out, as well as working on Pops Boiler. Jody mixed on Thursday, Joe cut casings with Lisa's help, and today, Noel, Joe and Timmy got it done while I had to go to the Docs with Dad.

Jody got them all hung up and now tomorrow we will smoke em all. Take care guys.

Remember that fishing contest?

Hey Guys believe it or not we are only a short 175 days away from our next trip to the north! (Yeah.. Teddy gave me the keys to the blog).

Anyway, if anyone remembers we actually did run a fishing contest last year. (Please no comments here about how we should have gone to a top 10 lake trout lake). I never collected for this because I have decided to do an engraveable trophy that we can bring each year. I figure this is the best way and more fun way to do any contest. While kielbasa weekend is going on, and some of the guys are together, keep this in mind. I want to eventually collect for last years contest. I will put this toward the trophy and engraving. A little off topic, but I spoke to a boat welder, and he told me I would be wasting my money trying to weld the old 69, he told me the only way to fix the old girl, was to drill out the old rivets, and redo them with a marine sealer and a pneumatic rivet gun.

Hey Joe, if I can, maybe I can borrow your garage some time in the winter, and your wonderful pit, and I can drill and fill. Or maybe I should just put her out to pasture. Let me know what you guys think. She was a good boat, but I don't know how much is left in her...

I'd like to save her if I can, but I realize there is only so much metal can take.

The Last Days of the Season

Well I was hoping to get out on the water one last time, but came to the realization this weekend that, it wasn't going to happen. So I decided that it was time to winterize the boat for the season. It is always a little sad, when you go through the boat and look at all the things inside that make you remember the great fishing and cruising that we had last year. But winter already reared her head last weekend, so I filled the tank, added my stabilizer and fogged the motor for the winter. I finished bungie cording the winter cover, right as the sun was setting early (5:00). Oh well, the good thing is that in a few short months, we will be cleaning them off, starting them up and having a good time!

The Sky is Falling!!!!

Well, a little trouble in paradise. The media center almost experienced a total porch collapse on Monday. I had worked on the porch all day Sunday, priming all of the bare wood, and caulking everything that needed it. Everything seemed fine, till Monday evening. It was Mary's birthday, and we were getting ready to go out for something to eat.We were taking out the trash on the way out. When I got to the front porch, something caught my eye. I did a double take! Here the porch pole is literally collapsing before my eyes!

I of course went into immediate panic mode. I ran to the basement, where luckily had a 2 X 4 there which of course had to be cut, so I grabbed my saw, and hammer. I was able to jam the 2 X 4 up there, and felt like at least I was out of the woods. I told Mary "I running to Lowes to get a few 2 X 6's, I will be right back". Mary in the mean time is trying to get a hold of the contractor. I jump in the truck, hit the key NOTHING....

This can't be happening. I need 10 footers, and they are not going to fit in the car. I grab my battery charger, and hook it up to the truck and it is becoming real apparent that there is something wrong with my Chinese Walmart Battery. In the mean time I slow down a bit, which allows me to stop and think, mean while Mary is scouring the basement for lumber.

She has done it, she comes out of the basement with my old painting scaffold board. It is constructed of two by sixes and two by fours.The next thing I know I see a guy looking at the pole, I run over to him and ask him what he is doing? Here it was a guy from the contracting company I had hired to repair the porch. He apparently lives in the city and got a call from his boss about my problem. He helped me prop up the roof, and pronounced it safe for the night. Needless to say by that time it was dark, and Mary and I were both shot, so we just kicked back and had a couple of hot dogsThe contractor is supposed to come today with a new post and replace the old one. I will keep you informed.

Media Center Gets Much Needed Repair

Well the TCF media center had some major work done on it today. My contractor completed the job in one day. The post holding up both porch roofs was repaired, and the beam which supports my porch roof was replace. He also had to replace some wood on the porch roof as well. He then shingled the whole roof and he finished the whole thing in one day. Not only that but he replaced the fascia on the back of the house with an albumin clad board, and most amazing he charged me exactly what the quote was! I am very glad that that is done, I don't think it would of made it through the winter. All that's left to do is get some paint on it and we are good to go.Take CareTheWebMaster

Hey well the corps have decided that nobody should have free space anymore. This is going to result in a much slimmed down TCF website, unless anyone is hip on making corps richer. They have decided that small little websites like ours are gold mines. So we are going to be restricted in the content we can put on the web site. It will be mostly text until they figure that out.

I personally have been using all of my personal space to host the videos and podcasts as well as the photos that are on the website, but unfortunately I have used all of my allocation, so the situation is that either I delete old posts or buy space to put new info for the site.

Earthquakes and Floods

Hope everyone is getting along after the Earthquake and the hurricane. We are now dealing with the remnants of Lee, which is really taking a dump on our area. She is now heading towards the Northeast. Well this is how it goes. We got the check from the church, and we are now in a position to make a down payment towards next years trip.

Well another one in the books!

Well, the kielbasa had been made for the Church picnic. Jody, Joe and Ted got it done last week, but lets just say not without incident. Because of the way everything fell, we were starting a day earlier than we usually do, this I hoped would lessen the confrontation with our friends, because I figured they would be working.

So much for that, we started our fire at 7:00 AM sharp with a bag of charcoal. About a half hour later, we began to stoke the fire with regular wood. Things were going along fine we thought. Joe and I were sitting on the patio waiting for the fire to get hot, when all of the sudden he shouts, there it is, there putting water on our fire!

We jumped out of the patio, and down to the smoker, where sure enough, she is spraying the fence, the plywood I put up to protect the fence, as well as anything else she could spray. She was going on about protecting her fence. We didn't really say anything, but she continued to complain, and then went into the house.

Another hour and again she is at it, this time however Joe was by the fire and he actually got sprayed! He very politely asked her to stop "attacking him with that hose", we continued the whole day in much the same way. We wrapped up smoking about 1:30, with very threatening skies.

Its all finished, but I will tell you this, it is getting old. Can't wait till November! If you need a little excitement in your life please feel free to show up, I will say this it sure is entertaining!

P.S. Did everyone enjoy the rumble this afternoon from the quake. Made me leave the house for a bit, now is when I wish I has a wood house!!!!

We are going to be making a batch of kielbasi for the church picnic, the only difference is that we will be moving up the process by one day. Jody will mix on Wednesday, we will pack on Thursday, and smoke it on Friday.

I know that this doesn't lend itself for anybody to really be available to help, but if you happen to have a little time, stop down and have a beer.

TCF Members visit Bob's Lake

We had a great time at Bob's Lake last week. The weather was great, we only had rain in the evening and once during the morning. We had a great time fishing and exploring the lake.

The lake contained all different type of fish, which Mary seemed to catch when we started using real worms. She caught Bass, Bluegill, perch, Rock Bass, and sunfish. I was able to land a few nice size bass as well. I was using rubber worms and top water baits.

The wildlife was really abundant and a lot of fun to watch. The lake features Falcons, Hawks, and Eagles. We also noticed snakes, turtles, beaver, black ermines deer, fox and of course chipmunks which are not bashful at all.

We each had our own cabins and had a common area to have cookouts and to just sit. Across from our cabins was a large deck which overlooked the lake water and had a great view of the lake. We all shared diner each night which was a lot of fun, and tried to travel in the same location on the lake during the morning fishing trips.

Usually during the afternoon, we would all head back for lunch a few beers and some time on the small beach that cedar haven had. Well guys I have to tell you that Jody still has it in him. He was the only one of us that swam all the way out to the diving platform. He also had the guts to go down the pipe. This was a large tube, that had water running inside of it, and it dumped you right into the lake. The rest of us were content to hang our feet in the water to get cool.

The only bad thing that happened to the old red and white, was that she is taking water. We determined where the leaks were, and did our best to patch those leaks with Epoxy which slowed the amount of water coming into the hull. We also installed an automatic bilge pump switch which bailed the water out when ever needed. The water separating filter is working well and we had no problems with water in the fuel.

We were also close to a town called West port which we toured on Wednesday, (rained in AM) we had a good time walking around and had a great lunch there.

The trip was a lot of fun and I would like to thank Jody, Lisa, Joey, Sherry, Mary for a great time. It was a lot of fun, and hopefully we can do it again next year.

Some information on Boating requirements Ontario Canada

The good news. Mary and Ted are going to Bob's Lake with Joe, Sherry, Jody and Lisa, the bad news Mary's position at the school district was eliminated resulting in her layoff as of July 1. She was able to bump into a part-time position in the fall so that wasn't to bad.

The Phoenix (aka old red and white 69) is going to be picked up from Piazza's Marine on Friday. John was very disturbed with the amount of water in the fuel system as well as the gas tank. He also told me the gas had a very bad odor to it. (All that walmart heet we put in it from Vince) He drained the carbs again, and put new plugs in. I also had him install a water separating fuel filter with a detachable bowl. I also had a new bulb pump put in as well. I just have to get rid of the 50 gas 20 water mixture from the tank and I should be good to go.

While doing some research on Bob's Lake, I came across an interesting Canadian Boating Regulation web site. Take a look at it some time. It contains some good information. Watch the web site for some updates from Bob's if I can find the Interwebs up there.

Carl called me today to let me know that Kaz's wife Paula has passed away at the hospital today. I don't have a lot of details, but I will post them as I find out more.

Trouble in the Hood!!

Well, in the immortal words of Mister Rodgers, it wasn't a beautiful day in our neighborhood. The old Kielbasa train came of the tracks this morning. We were making Kielbasa for Noel's graduation party, when our wonderful neighbor from behind us, rang our door bell and proceeded to throw up all over Dad and I.

She was pitching a fit about us burning her fence and all of its coating off. We explained to her that Olga actually did that two years ago, when she burned the palms from Easter. Well she continued to get huffy and insisted we put wood up against her fence to protect it.

About three minutes later her husband came over and proceeded to take a shit on us. Pop invited him and his son into the kitchen and he began his rant. At one point Pop asked him to be reasonable and that just set him all the way off. He got so loud and animated, that he actually scared his own son, who ran out of the house, we let him rant and rave, when I told him I would take care of it and I would put plywood up to protect his fence.

In the mean time Jody was out getting supplies for his pool, and I told him that we were having a problem with the neighbor, he told me he would be right there. I was busy putting plywood up against his fence and the guy would not quit. He was insisting that I do the whole fence. At this point I had it, and promptly told him in colorful language to go F%$^ him self, just as Jody arrived.

He was screaming at Jody to stop being ignorant, and Jody told him very calmly to call the police. He was screaming at Jody not to put wood on the fire, so of course Jody continued to load up the fire.

The Police arrived about 30 minutes later, and Jody explained the situation to them. They were very calm and spoke to the neighbors as well, and after much talking the Police agreed with us that we were not doing anything illegal, nor were we harming the neighbors.

Well of course it didn't stop there. We were also visited by the Moosic Fire Chief who was called in complaint of us. He spoke with the neighbors and assured them that our fire would not cause any harm to their fence. He also spoke with us, and told us that we did everything we should of.

That is where it ended. We did not have anymore run ins with them and we were able to finish the batch, but I guess it will be like this from here on out. (Oh think twice, its just another day in paradise); (Phil Collins)

End of a Great Trip

Thanks to all the members who participated in the 2011 spring trip. It was a good trip with a lot of good memories. We definitely experienced things we never had before.

It was nice to be fishing for Lake Trout again, and the fight of those fish brought back some nice feelings.

Everyone worked together and we all had a great time, great food, and great company. Keep watching, I will be posting more as time allows, like everyone else once you come back it gets crazy.

Hopefully everyone is over the Temagami revenge and all are starting to feel better.

Down Goes Fraiser!!!!

The Sinking of The Old Sixty Nine

It was a normal morning, Carl had been outside to get a bottle of water, looked at the boats outside our cabin and all was in order. Several minutes later, Jody walked out of the cabin to use the phone. When he glanced over at the boats, he began to shout that there was a problem.

Carl, Joe and Greg were the first out of the cabin followed closely by Ted. Upon looking at the dock, my (Ted) mouth dropped. The back portion of my boat is completely submerged in the lake! Both motors are under water, way under water. I didn’t know what to do first. I was literally standing there on the dock watching my boat sink. All that was above the water was the bow, barley sticking up in the air.

The good thing was that the boat was tied on the back to the dock, and the rope was keeping it from dropping to the bottom of the lake. My first thought was to cut the back rope, but Carl stopped me, which was very good, otherwise it would have dropped the back down even deeper and probably would have totally sunk the boat.

After taking a moment and assessing the situation, everyone began to come up with good ideas as to how to deal with the boat. Fortunately we had access to a come-along (a hand powered wench), using this and brute strength, from all of the guys, we were able to get the boat to the shore, and finally placing wood under the rear hull, we were able to get the transom out of the water, and begin to pump it out with the bilge pump.

After 20 minutes of pumping the boat was finally afloat, however we did not know if we had a breech in the hull. Thank goodness there were no holes in the boat, and she was staying afloat. All of the items that were in the boat were totally soaked including Jody and Carl’s tackle boxes as well as Ted’s toolbox.

This all occurred when we were getting ready to eat breakfast. This was all put on hold, so we now decided to take a rest and eat. After eating we began the task of dealing with the water soaked motors. We were able to fire the 50 hp and ran it for a bit, then focused on the 9.5 Evenrude. This took a lot of time and patience, as we had to remove the spark plugs and try and get all of the water out of the crankcase and carburetors.

We were eventually successful and the 9.5 fired and ran better than it had all week, the 50 Mercury was another matter. The motor had not been running well to begin with, but now we were dealing with a serious problem with gas in the water. Carl and I worked on it during the day and drained water out of all three carburetors and she is running sporadically.

I really appreciate the great minds that we have in our group, and the way we can come to a consensus as to which best to handle the problem. Having the young guys around to help with the muscle as well as ideas we would of never have thought of makes it a great group of men to be around. Without the help of all these great guys, I would have been in one world of hurt, and the true friends that they are, make it so much easier to face such a daunting task.

Without these guys, I would have been paying environmental fines, Barge crane fees, and God knows what else. Thank you guys for getting me through. I thank each and every one of you.

Very Heavy Seas and Weather

Last night after we got back to our island, heavy rain and wind overtook the lake. At one point our boats had snapped the mooring lines on both Jody and Ted's boat. Luckily we still had lines attached and were able to run to the dock and retie everything.

Today we are experiencing very cold weather and the winds are very strong with gust predicted to be 70klm. We are not venturing on to the lake today. We have been in the cabins watching movies and playing cards.

There is talk of a ping pong tournament in the large building tonight.

Trouble in Boatsville

The TCF members are scouring the Northern Part of Ontario for propellers. Joes boat had an encounter with the rocks of Lake Temagami. We have found a few but they are very expensive so far $260.

Fishing Report Ted had one at 5lbs, Jimmy 1.5, Vince 6 lbs. Mosquitos are having a feild day dining on Americans.

I am able to update the website because we found some open internet on the lake. We made it fine, and did not have any problems with the Trucks or trailers. We havent caught any fish yet but its early.

We Made it to Pembrok

The WebMaster and his family had a great time in New York over the weekend. If you ever need a place to eat, I recommend the Heartland Brewery in the basement of the Empire State Building. Great Food, and even better beer. The prices were very reasonable for New York City.

Had a great time cruising on the subway. Any place in New York for 2.50 can't beat it.

Well do to the heavy rains we have been having in the rain forest, apparently the 27 spices which connected the corporate office of the TCF to the Verizon phone box must of gotten corroded.

The technician came to day from a twitter, believe it or not and repaired the service, so I am up and running again.

Well the Bearing Saga Continues

This morning I was still waiting for my EZ Loader bearings for the trailer, but in the mean time I had all of the specs from the EZ Loader Guy (Bubba) seriously his name was Bubba, (Nice guy by the way), I was able to purchase two seals from Philadelphia Ball bearing here in Reading.

Drove up to the north in the AM, Had to take Pop for a Doctors Exam, so I figured, I could do the job when we got back.

The first one went real smooth, actually had to fit the seal in place with a hammer, all bearings repacked with Marine Grease. Pumped up the bearing buddy, no leaks things were looking up.

By the time I got to the other side of the trailer and jacked it up, the storm clouds were brewing. I was working as fast as I could, and of course, probably a little to fast, and when I went to hammer in the seal, it strayed from center, and bent. Game over. I put everything back together to avoid any more rain, but the damage was done. The weather beat me again.

I am mailing a set of seals up to the North today, and Jody and Joe said they may have some time to try and fix it before we go. If they can't I will try and do it when I get up there.

I have two more seals in reserve. That is the problem with old shit, they don't carry the parts for it, but that is another story, sailing antiques.

Trying to get my bearings!

No No its not that, my GPS is fine. Joe pronounced my grease seal null and void after a visual inspection on Saturday. So now I am trying very hard to get them. They will not cross reference with the Timken Co, so I went straight to EZ Loader, who made my trailer. Unfortunately it was made in 1979, and not to many people remember them.

I was finally able to talk to somebody there, and they are going to send me Four seals, so I have a couple extras. Hopefully they will get here before we leave!!!!

Here it is, this is the final word on Alcohol..

You are allowed to import only one of the following amounts of alcohol free of duty and taxes:

· 1.5 litres (53 imperial ounces) of wine;

· up to a maximum of 8.5 litres of beer or ale.

Alcoholic beverages are products that exceed 0.5% alcohol by volume. Minimum ages for the importation of alcoholic beverages, as prescribed by provincial or territorial authorities, are 18 years for the provinces of Alberta, Manitoba and Quebec and 19 years for the remaining provinces and territories.

Note
The CBSA classifies "cooler" products according to the alcoholic beverage they contain. For example, beer coolers are considered to be beer and wine coolers are considered to be wine. Alcohol and wine products not exceeding 0.5% alcohol by volume are not considered to be alcoholic beverages.

The quantities of alcohol you can bring in must be within the limit set by the province or territory where you will enter Canada. CONCERNS: All TCF Members

Just a note, I talked to Verizon, about taking my smart phone into Canada. They informed me that I would be internationally roaming. This in itself is not that bad, the problem occurs when you have a smart phone that receives E-Mail, Twitter, Messenger Service, all of these results in international data charges. The recommendation from Verizon was to turn it off after entering Canada, to avoid a very expense phone bill.

Just thought you would like to know.

I would also like to concur with the President. The Sprint network is a little more friendly, in that phone calls are only .59 cents a minute, but once again, Data is on the international plan which can get expensive in a hurry. The representative also mentioned that any email or messages or surfing are charged by the mega byte, so be careful fisherman.

Turn those Dam phones off and have fun!!!

Some More Boat Work

Hey Guys,
Now that the trip is closing in on us, I am trying to get up to speed with the 69. Had to replace the roller for the front of the boat, put a new Red and Green LED on the bow, and topped it off with a new cover.
Now all I have left is to fix the right radio speaker that went after the winter. Other than that its almost in shape, will be tugging it up to North this Thursday.

Hey its official, Greg is going to be taking Tim's place on the fishing trip. Tim was unable to go, and Jody and Joe asked their bowling partner if he would be interested and he is!

Greg has fished a lot in Canada, he mostly fished for northern's and has not trolled much, but I think once we get him hooked into a 10 lb trout, he may never look at those northern's the same way.

The Annual Cabelas Trip

Well we had a good time on Saturday. We met at the 3 C's for breakfast which was very good. After some good conversation, and Joe having some fun with the waitress, we headed down to Cabelas.

We shopped for a couple hours and got everything we needed including plastic Chaldermites, which we have never saw up until now. We purchased the scales for the fishing contest, but because our younger members were not there, we decided not to buy the $85.00 digital scales, instead we went with the Twenty dollar non-digital model, (which I am sure will cause some controversy at some point).

The Captian of the old 69 finally got a net for the boat, and Jody picked up some fihsing pole holders for the members who are chartering his boat this year. We had a good time, and talked about how we would out fish the younger guys. (Since they were not there to defend themselves). We parted ways and looked forward to the waters of the north.

The next day once again, as usual I fixed my boat, and low and behold I actually found the readio. I do have to report after being back by the bilege and in the freezing cold for a couple of months, I turned her on, and .... she worked, like a charm.

On April 9th 2011 we are making our annual trip to Cabelas for supplies for the upcoming fishing trip.

If you would care to join us we are meeting at the restaurant called the Three C's, (which is about two miles north of Cabelas on route 61 on the left hand side.) at 10:00 a.m.

After the shopping trip and if you have time, I invite everyone back to my house for a cookout. We can review the purchases and have a few beers. It should be a fun time, and I am looking forward to it.

I know many of you may be wondering where on earth I was. Well as it were I decided to go fishing for steelhead in Pulaski over Superbowl weekend, and I just thawed out a couple days ago. Actually, it took 3 weeks to get feeling back in my toes (no joke). So I am back blood flowing and all, and I am super psyched for our upcoming trip. I can hear the sweet winds of Temagami calling to me over the clamour and noise of this city. I tell you I can really use the get-a-way.

Anyway, I wanted to tell you guys about my recent fishing trip since I seem to be the only one fishing. First off as I said it was bitterly cold, a fact that became more obvious the deeper into the river I waded. I tell you when you stand for 8 hous up to your chest in 32F water with nothing between you and it but a thin peace of gortex you really know you're alive. Possibly the only thing worse than the cold is the fact that you can accomplish maybe 4 casts before breaking your 6lb test line on one of the 600 million things to get snagged on in the river. Given that a cast lasts about 30 seconds it means a lot of retying, and since a fly cost about $2 it means a lot of lost money. Lets just say its frustrating, cold, and very hard core. If you're lucky to get a bite and know that you got a bite you then have about 1millisecond to set the hook before he spits your fly. Then if by some vast force from above you miraculously hook into one you have to land him with a tiny hook and again 6lb test.

I found myself wondering why anyone would be crazy enough to actually pursuit this endeavour. However, once I had one on the line and was running down river with the fish in the lead like a bat-out-of-hell, ice cold water bathing me with every stride I had my answer. Although, its not for the novice and you definitely have to love fishing in the end there is nothing like fighting one of the worlds strongest fish with ultralight tackle in the middle of winter. So I guess I am getting a bit long winded. Its been nice talking to you guys and as they say a picture's worth 1000 words or more like 32" and 16lbs.

New Hotel for the way up!

Hi Everyone,
Jody found a different place for us to stay on the way up. It is a Travel Lodge located in Penn brook, which is just a little before where we were staying before. Check it out, it looks pretty good, they have a restaurant right on the premise, so we don't have to run around.

Part of the reason we got a good rate was that we had to pre-pay, so keep that in mind. It also looks like it has a better place for the boats.

Well I think I may be the last one, but I did have my passport taken care of. I heard some rumors that if the government shuts down that there will be quite a delay in processing the passport paper work. Hopefully that won't happen, but at least I have the process started.

PS Joe you really know how to challenge me with those computers you send me. YOW could never get the C drive to fire up. Not to mention that the mother board never got all the device drivers up to speed, (Couldn't if the machine wouldn't boot) But the process of forcing life back in to it has begun!!!!!

Joe found a map on line of the lake, and he purchased it for the club. (Thanks Joe), at least now we are not lost and will know where we are going. Don't be fooled this is a large lake, it goes for almost 26 miles. Much like Moosehead in Maine. Be prepared for big water, the one good thing is that there are islands, but don't be fooled. Water is Water.

Just a note

Just to drop a note, Back up and walking around again. Been very busy lately, Dad is out of the hospital and back home again.

Talked to John today, he did some nice work in his kitchen, retrofitted his light fixture, had to make some modifications, and did a great job. Here is a photo of the finished work.

PS where in the world is Vincent..... Rumor has it he was catching large fish in upper state New York, but we are waiting for photographic proof.

Down Goes Fraiser!

Man Down, Man Down, Winter has claimed another victim. Namely the TCF Webmaster. I made it back from the great white north unscathed on Wednesday night, despite driving on snow covered roads with blowing snow.

Today I got up and decided this snow definitely warranted the use of the snow blower. The snow blower was in the basement, as I opened the bulk head doors to the outside, a ton of snow fell on to the steps. As I turned to go down to retrieve the snow blower, I myself went down, or should I say most of me. The part that didn't go down was my left leg and knee.

I felt something give, but I didn't feel that bad, and finished my snow removal chores. Upon sitting down in the kitchen, I realized that something wasn't quite right. I had Mary drive me over to the Doctors, where I received an X-Ray. I was told to go home and ice it repeatedly and keep it elevated.

If I don't feel any better by Monday I have to go for an MRI. Oh well the joys of winter. I will let you know how I make out.

Hey everyone,
I know that this is a subject that nobody really wants to deal with, but I think it is important. If you can take a few minutes and look at them it would be greatly appreciated. We will discuss them on Saturday during Kielbasa making. I think it is a good way to keep everyone friends and avoid a lot of hard feelings if we should ever need to do something.
Please remember that this is just an outline, we never really discussed them last year, but I feel that its important to talk about make changes and ultimately enact them.

The trouble all started when John and Carl killed that giant spider up in Canada. The spiders are not taking it lightly. They almost got him in the desert in Arizona, but he bounced back.. He thought that would be the end of it, the blood letting would stop, but no. Now they planned a sneak attack. They waited in his Christmas tree. Like a Trojan horse, they waited quietly until the temperature warmed up, and OH NO they are now infesting his house!!! But armed with insecticide the battle continues. Spiders 2 John 2. I say stop the madness! can't we all just get along!!!!

Joe rolled a 300 on Monday during match play with his league. It really doesn't get any better than that. Joe explained,

"I was bowling the whole game, just matching Gene who was bowling in front of me. We matched strike for strike till the eight frame when Gene missed. I wasn't thinking about much other than our team making up some ground. It wasn't till the twelfth frame, that I realized what was at stake, but I threw the ball and it felt like the rest. When I turned around I realized that there were about 25 guys watching me."

Hey Joe, that was awesome, I just hope that when we fish this year you keep that in mind. When something works, stick with it, like making turns when your trolling!!!

Keilbasa Schedule UPDATED!!!!!

Well the schedule for Kielbasa is shaping up. The Church has requested 40 rings for their Christmas Sale which is occurring on December 4, 2010. This means we will need to do a batch over the Thanksgiving Holiday. Jody and I don't feel that will be a much of a problem.

Also the bulk of the production will occur on the weekend of the 11th, 12th, and 13th of December. We will probably end up smoking on Saturday as well as Sunday. This appears to make the most sense right now.

If you can make some time during this period the TCF would greatly appreciate your help.
