The maximum depth of the lake is 246 feet deep and the average depth is 55 feet.

There are 80 islands on the lake.

Moosehead lake makes up 24% of Maine's total lake region in this area.

Fish of Moosehead; Land locked salmon, Brookies in the river, Small mouth bass, Perch and Togue.

Did you know that togue is another name for Lake Trout?

Moosehead lake iceout is usually on May 1st.
